Best known for her role as Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop in the drama series, the actress loves hanging out by the ocean when she is not stealing scenes.  Emily began her run on the popular CBS show in 2013. She confirmed her shocking departure from the series in an Instagram post in May 2021 after nearly eight years.  “Hangin’ this hat and jacket up. What a great ride it’s been,” she captioned her sentimental post.

The song came about toward the end of the process for the duo's sophomore album, 'Anything Goes.' It happened almost by accident, as songwriters Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe explain. "I was out doing a DJ run with them on this Nelly tour," Frasure tells Taste of Country. "They did this tour with Nelly of minor league baseball parks, and I was opening up, emceeing the show and doing the DJ thing, and about halfway through that trip I called Cary and Sarah [Buxton].

Glenn Frey's death at the age of 67 stunned his fans, but in a new interview, his longtime friend and fellow rock legend Bob Seger reveals that Frey's health had been much worse than most people knew. Frey died on Monday (Jan. 18) in a hospital in New York City, succumbing to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. He had undergone stomach surgery in November, which caused the Eagles to push back their Kennedy Center Honors, and according to Seger, he never left the hospital.

The Clinton Sheriff’s Office has confirmed there was a gas explosion at the Guardian Glass plant in DeWitt, IA.  It happened shortly before 7 p.m.  Multiple emergency crews were called out to the scene.  No word yet on how many injuries there are at this time. Laurel firefighters have reorganized the local firefighters’ union. The Laurel Firefighters Association Local 207 was chartered in 1919 under the International Association of Firefighters. Over the years, the Local 207 has been an advocate for firefighter safety, fair labor practices and a safe workplace. From 1977 to 1981 Jimmy Carter’s family was thrust into the spotlight as he served as president. He and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, raised their youngest child, daughter Amy Carter, in the White House as their three eldest children started families of their own. After 77 years of marriage, The Carter Center announced the former first lady’s death on November 19, 2023, at age 96. Jimmy and Rosalynn wed in 1946 after growing up together in Plains, Georgia.
