A 26-year-old Galesburg man is in the Knox County Jail on sexual assault charges against child victims. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Galesburg Police Department, received information of a possible child sexual assault that occurred in the Knox County area, according to a Friday release from the sheriff’s office. A thorough investigation was completed by both agencies that revealed a suspect and multiple potential victims. Potential victims were located all throughout the state, the release said.

St. Ambrose University will host a university-wide prayer service in memory of Patrick Torrey on Monday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., in Christ the King Chapel, 518 W. Locust St., Davenport. The service will be open to the public. The 22-year SAU senior died suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022. No cause of death has been released publicly.
